Coddling the Oppreesor Never Works
which is evidenced in the Zionist reaction to Macklemore's eloquent and heartfelt speech.
He made sure to stress that his criticism of Israel was not a criticism of Jewish people.
He made sure to include Sudan, Cuba, Congo and the US in his calls for freedom.
And still he was condemned by Zionists.
You cannot win because their talking points either come from a place of deep rooted indoctrination (Zionism exploits Jewish trauma), disingenuousness, or both.
Zionist talking points alter according to the situation. If Macklemore hadn't said those things, they would have honed in on that. He did say them and it was ignored or his meaning twisted. They tell us it is antisemitic to conflate Judaism with Zionism, while telling us it is antisemitic to criticise Israel. (Zionism thrives on antisemitism).
Never let Zionists put you on the defensive by trying to prove you are not antisemitic. You are only giving their nonsense credence and they won't believe you anyway or will pretend not to. Mark Ruffalo made that mistake.
Even if you succeed in moving them on from that talking point, they will come at you in another way. They want and need you on the defensive. The goal is to wear you out, wear you down, keep the focus on you and not the crimes.
Remember, no matter how they rewrite history, no matter how shamefully they lie and deny, there is nothing they can say to excuse Zionist crimes against humanity. Be that the actions of Israeli soldiers, the dehumanizing and genocidal language of Israeli officials or the backing of Western powers. Nothing!
Remember, the atrocities caused by Zionism have nothing to do with ethnicity or religion. Nothing! Just humans at their very worst.
As Trump is the true face of the US, Netanyahu, Smotrich and Ben-Gvir are Israel unmasked. Liberal to far-right Zionists, it all stems from the same fascist core.
It’s hard to believe that Israeli apologists actually believe the things they say. But for those who do, then I kind of feel sorry for them. They have been so heavily indoctrinated they cannot see reality and instead defend the Israeli army, which has murdered over *80,000 human beings, *20,000 of them children as well as countless animals. They have destroyed trees and water sources and scorched the earth. And it continues unchecked!
Israel is the oppressor and occupier, the ethnic cleanser and land thief. They can go on and on about the way the oppressed violently respond to their oppression, but that doesn’t exonerate Israel or flip them from perpetrators into victims.
One day, they will have to accept this, or, at least, pretend they do. Because the free-thinking world rejects Zionism. We reject the way it exploits and debases Judaism. We reject how it lies and manipulates. We reject how it bullies and brutalises. We reject how it bribes and threatens. We reject how it makes excuses for the most heinous, ongoing crimes.
